This 300 bed Hospital is seeking a Gastroenterologist to join one other physician in an
established hospital employed practice. The qualified candidate will have the ability to perform
ERCP, EGD, Colonoscopy, Bronchoscopy, Manometry, Bravo, and Capsule. EUS training
would be a plus. The practice is situated one mile from hospital campus and has flexible hours
Monday - Friday. The growth of the practice has been at a rate of 1,500 new patients per year
for the past seven years. The current physician averages 70 cases per month, with 80%
outpatient and 20% inpatient. The new physician will ramp up quickly to an average of twenty
plus patients per day. Endoscopy has a team on call and a late team scheduled every day. The
endo schedule for procedures is from 7a - 3p and schedules vary greatly amongst the
physicians. There is a robust hospitalist program that has been in place for 8 years consisting of
6 hospitalists. This hospital is one of the busiest level III trauma centers in the country with
about 50,000 ED visits per year. It is only one hour from the capital city of Charleston and
boasts a wide variety of dining options, outdoor activities and golf course community living
