I have a locums need for a PA or NP that is in or close to San Diego, CA that can handle allergy and asthma issues. Will need coverage for a week - at least - (date undetermined yet) and then future dates here and there occasionally to fill in for the Dr.(there will be a Dr. on call at all times). This is a specialized clinic and they only handle allergy and asthma problems. 60% of the patients are adults. 40% are children. Will see 15-20 patients in an 8 hour day. Charting is done on paper. Hours are Monday –Thursday 8am-4:30pm and Fridays 8am-12pm. The person that takes this position needs to have excellent bedside manner with patients and will need to shadow the Dr. for 2 days prior to him going on vacation. Must have a CA license. Open to new graduates or someone who has an internal medicine background – just needs to have a very positive attitude with the patients and a cheerful demeanor. No on call and no weekends.
